Week of May 2

Hello everyone!
    Please remember that we have Garden Club on Tuesdays. Clothing and shoes may get dirty!

***We have ONE more Field trip! On Tuesday, May 24th we will go to the Grand Canyon! We will need a few parents to join. First come first serve! Please let me know ASAP if you can join us!

Dates to remember:
PTO will be selling $10.00 Marshall T-shirts on Tuesday, May 3^rd after school, Wednesday, May 4th  before and after school, and on Thursday, May 5^th before school.

Monday, May 9th- NO SCHOOL

Wednesday, May 11- All School BBQ

Thursday, May 19th- Early release for report cards 

Tuesday, May 24th- Field Trip to Grand Canyon 

Thursday, May 26th- Last day of school

Week of April 18

Hello!
 -- This is our final week of the AzMerit test. As we have done the past two weeks, we will test on Wednesday. Please Make sure your student eats breakfast and gets a good night sleep Tuesday night!

--Homework: A review packet was sent home and is due Friday. We had a good amount of time today to work on it in class. I also asked students to make sure that they bring the packet each day so they can work on it during class throughout the week. I would like to go over as much as I can with students to help.

TUESDAYS = Garden Club! We are back in the garden on Tuesday afternoons. Please make sure students wear clothing that is appropriate for working in a garden and can get a little dirty. We often use tools, so closed toed shoes are important!

---Earth Day-- Friday, our class will help celebrate Earth day by teaching younger classes about reusing. We will be making flags out of old t-shirts. If you have old t-shirts around the house that can be cut up and used for this project, please send them ASAP! We will make the flags on Friday!

Week of April 04 -- AKA 1st week of AzMerit Testing

Hello Everyone!

Well the first week of AzMerit Testing is here! THANK YOU to everyone who has sent in snacks! We appreciate it. If you would still like to send snacks in we could use granola bars and pretzels or Goldfish crackers !

***AzMerit Info:
       -4th grade will test every WEDNESDAY for the next three weeks
       - PLEASE make sure students get a full nights rest on Tuesday nights (every night would be great! Too)
       -Please make sure that students EAT BREAKFAST- if you have to send it with them that is okay!
        -Some portions of the test require that students use headphones. Students CAN bring their own pair. Some students complain that the school headphones are uncomfortable.

Homework- I will be sending a light packet of test review items home that will be due Friday.
